Gallery showcases some of my bears. Like many, I started out using commercial designs, then made modifications to commerical designs. Finally, after taking Jennifer Laing's design class, I started designing my own bears from scratch! Initially it was a scary task...there were a couple of bears that didn't quite please me... but with some work, I find every bear I make really cute and could not part with them. My home is filled with display cabinets of bears... and I'm running out of space...

Before 2000, my bears were mainly undressed. Then I got hooked on the McDonald (yes...the fast food) "Hello Kitty" craze in Singapore. Singaporeans were caught up collecting "Hello Kitty" (Japanese Cat Soft Toy from Sanrio) that McDonald was offering with their "Happy Meals". After that, my favorite pasttime was dressing my bears in costumes. I would go shopping for authentic-looking accessories to jazz up the bear.

I've selected a few of my bears that I am trully proud of to showcase in the following pages. These bears are for my own collection and are not on auction. Hope you like them too!
